 | Robin Rose - Past Co-Chair
Employed by Preston Development Company. Rose is owner of Jellybeans Super Skate center in Cary and has been involved in the children entertainment business for more than thirty years. He brought the first ice skating facility to the triangle in 1985. He was instrumental in ice hockey and roller hockey development from its conception in the Triangle. Rose graduated from Barton College after spending 2 years at Louisburg College. He has served on the Advisory Board of the YMCA in Cary. Miracle League duties include construction, development and fundraising.

 | Tony Withers - Past Co-Chair
CEO of Withers & Ravenel, a land planning and engineering firm located in Cary, NC. Withers is a NC State graduate. He served as past president for the Board of the YMCA of the Triangle and is a continuing Board member. He also serves on the board of the Eastern NC Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the NC State Engineering Foundation. Miracle League duties include construction, development, and fundraising.

 | Jim Huggins - Chair
Recently retired as CEO of AlphaGraphics. Huggins has served as Chairman of the Board of Life Experiences, Chairman of the Board of the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce and is currently Treasurer for the Board of the Center for Volunteer Caregiving. He has an MBA from Northwestern University and prior to moving to Cary in 1995 had been Division Vice President and General Manager of two fortune 100 companies and President of two smaller privately held companies.

Managing partner of Accident Research Specialists. Zahn is a graduate of NC State. He is the father of a Special Needs child. He currently serves on the board of the Triangle Down Syndrome Network, Triangle Real Estate Company and Wachovia Bank in Cary. Miracle League duties include finance management.

 | Kimberly C. Rose – Secretary
Employed by Jellybeans Super Skate Center. Rose is owner of Jellycamps, a camp program for children ages 5 – 12 years of age. She has been active in youth soccer, hockey and lacrosse programs for the past 15 years. Rose graduated from UNC-CH. She currently serves as board member on West Raleigh Auxillary Club and is a prior board member of Morrisville Elementary PTA. Miracle League duties include Special Events Committee. She has no access to funds.

Rob is a CPA with A.T. Allen & Company located in Cary. He is also a parent of a special needs child and is active in the Cary-Page Rotary club.

 | Elliott Avent
Elliott, Coach of NCSU Baseball Team, has been committed to the Miracle League from the very early stages. He appeared in the first public service announcement and threw out the first pitch on opening day. Coach Avent believes in the ML motto, "Every child deserves a chance to play baseball" and would like to serve by helping keep the local baseball community connected with the MLT. Despite all the awards and honors, despite all the success Avent has enjoyed in his 11 years at NC?State, he remains essentially unchanged. His approach to the job, his unyielding enthusiasm, the way he interacts with his players and staff, his tireless work ethic and his unbridled passion for NC State, all of that remains the same.

 | Paul Carr
Captain for Delta Airlines and US Air Force Reserve Colonel. Carr is a graduate of NC State University and has been active in little league, middle school and high school baseball for more than 15 years. Miracle League duties include Facilities and Special Events Committee.

 | Jeffrey J. Eakes CPA, CTP
Director of Corporate Treasury at SAS Institute. Eakes is a graduate of NC State and resides in Cary with his wife, Nancy Browning. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Cary Academy, the Cary Advisory Board of Wachovia Bank and NCSU College of Management Board of Advisors. Jeff was former Finance Director for the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic. Miracle League duties include finance management.

 | Linda J. Folger
Co-founder TriSure Corporation with her husband Cleve in 1994 and remains a principal Owner/ Partner. In 1998 Linda was one of the original "25 Top Women Businessowners" selected by the Triangle Business Journal. She has served on the Boards of both the Raleigh and Cary Chambers of Commerce and the Board of Advisors of the Cary YMCA and is currently on the Board of the 200 Club of Wake County and Wake County Blue Ribbon Planning Committee. A native of Salisbury, NC, Linda has a B.A. from NCSU.

Executive VP of the YMCA. Joyce is a graduate of UNC. He is active in the Special Needs community as well as serving on the HMI advisory committee at Hope Chapel. He served on the Cary Chamber of Commerce for 3 years, 2 of which he was Chairman of Membership. Miracle League duties include fundraising and long range planning.

Vice President and Branch Manager of Capital Bank's Kildaire Farm Road Branch. Katie is a graduate of East Carolina University and is currently enrolled in the North Carolina School of Banking through the North Carolina Bankers Association. She currently serves as an ambassador to the Cary Chamber of Commerce and is an active member with The Cary Rotary Club.

 | Lisa Mischley
Lisa has a true passion for watching and participating in sports and especially youth sports within the community. Starting her YMCA career as the Sports Director of the A.E. Finley YMCA, she spent many hours working with coaches, families and the kids to develop sport leagues to fit the community’s needs. Playing sports all the way through college as a member of the varsity crew team at Clemson, Lisa understands the importance of having the opportunity to play. She is currently the Associate Branch Director of the Alexander Family YMCA in downtown Raleigh.

President/Owner of Genesis Marketing Partners, Inc. Has been in the marketing/PR industry since 1986. Prior to that was in the radio business in IL and NC as sales manager and on air DJ. Graduated from SIU a long time ago. Involved in various charities in the Triangle including Rex Hospital Open, Communities in School, V Foundation and The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic; former Board of Directors for HBAWC, Lung Association, Cary Chamber of Commerce.

 | Julie Vining
Julie works as a substitute teacher in Special Programs in the Wake County Public Schools with both small groups of special needs students and in one-on-one settings. Prior to that, she was a one-on-one Teacher’s Assistant for a third-grade student with autism at Salem Elementary School. Julie practiced law, first in Los Angeles then in North Carolina, for nearly twenty years before pursuing a career in Special Education. She graduated with honors from Wellesley College in 1982 and from the University of Southern California Law School in 1987.

Owner, Founder, President of AVCON, Inc. since 1997 – Cary, NC based audio-visual systems Integration Company that specializes in design/build solutions for Corporations and Houses of Worship. Graduate of NC State University 1986 and Native of Cary, NC. Coach of the Miracle League Pirates since opening year of league and proud father of a child with special needs.

 | Tammi Dittmar, Executive Director – Full Time
Graduate of Albion College in Michigan, her career includes Case work for children with special needs, Management in Corporate Controller positions, Fundraising and Director of Childrens Ministry at St. Andrews Church in Raleigh. She is the parent of Twin boys who are legally blind and has been involved with Miracle League since it’s inception.

 | Cyndy Vagle, League Manager – Part Time
As a mom of special needs kids, working for the Miracle League has extra meaning for Cyndy Vagle. A graduate of Buena Vista University in Iowa, she has experience in entertainment event production, retail management and marketing for newspapers. She is very active with the youth of her church and her children’s schools. Cyndy and her husband are raising their children in Holly Springs.
